We have provided guidance and suggested language for a bequest in A Guide to Bequest Language section on this Web site.
Planned giving can be a future or an outright gift that will help create a donor’s present and future income as well as her or his estate. Trinity’s planned giving Web site is designed to introduce you to the concept of planned giving. The descriptions and examples are purposely kept simple to illustrate the ways each of the planned giving methods work. Among the most popular ways of providing a planned gift to Trinity is through a bequest in a will, a beneficiary designation on life insurance policies and retirement plans, and establishing life-income gifts that provide a lifelong income to you today and a gift to Trinity in the future.
The impact you can have on future students, faculty, and academic programs is immeasurable. Planned gift intentions from alumni, donors, and friends are key to Trinity’s continued excellence and distinction. Depending on the legacy you want to create and the type of planned gift you arrange, you may enjoy financial benefits for you and your family while also supporting Trinity University in future years.
There are many ways to make a planned gift to Trinity University; however, not every way is equally beneficial to every donor. It is our commitment in the Office of Planned Giving at Trinity to provide prudent advice and counsel regarding the most advantageous way for you to contribute to the University. While we can provide you with various proposals to meet your needs, we recommend that you consult with your own trusted advisors before finalizing your gifts. We believe that charitable planning is a process that ideally involves you, your family, your professional advisors, and our gift planning staff—all working together to arrange the best gift possible for you.
We have received and developed many planned gifts that benefit other charities in addition to Trinity.
